Not far from there you can see an enormous Mammoth colony in Waco. Grapevine, north Texas, may be very enjoyable as well, stomp grapes at grapefest in the fall. I might go on all day, Texas is great to go to but in the event you’re coming in the summer you might need to strive South Padre Island.
